Patrick Tagoe-Turkson

Patrick’s fundamental practice is the transformation of waste to art, and as an environmentalist, addressing ecological issues that plague the global south, namely, pollution and climate change. At the heart of his practice is the belief that, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”, so seeing the value in the discarded, overlooked and marginalized as it pertains to both the environment and society at large. Based on this philosophy, the overall theme or message of his work is to reclaim and repurpose vices as subjects of value and worth.
