Terrell Tilford – Founder, Chief Curator
Terrell Tilford has been collecting art since he was 16 years old. He has a deep passion and commitment to Artists and their works as has been exemplified with his work as a writer, director, producer & curator.
He began curating in 1999 with his first fine arts company, the Tilford Art Group (TAG).  Terrell has curated shows in galleries/lofts/open spaces & pop-ups in Los Angeles, the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Area and throughout New York. He’s been commissioned to curate at Museums and has helped develop Collections for private individuals across the US.
Through TAG, Terrell represented over 40+ artists from around the world. He developed a particular passion working with and developing Artists’ growth through his artist management.
In 2003, Terrell opened his first on-site Gallery on Pico Blvd at Hauser in Los Angeles’ Mid-City district which became the home for TAG. The Tilford Art Gallery served as a special showcase for art, artists and the community until Terrell decided to re-brand the gallery in 2013.
In 2015, Terrell re-launched with a new fine arts company, Band of Vices (BoV), what he is calling a movement.  BoV is a curator of “All Things Good”.  It is a platform to explore  and expand beyond the traditional art forms.  BoV will explore and curate all forms of art. It’s first two exhibitions were produced in a loft in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. His upcoming, new curatorial effort will launch in a pop-up gallery in the West Adams Arts District.
An MFA recipient of Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts with a BA from the University of California, Berkeley, Terrell resides in Los Angeles with an amazing wife, Victoria and their inquisitive two-year old daughter.
Melva Benoit – Partner, Marketing Consultant
Melva Benoit has always loved art in all of its forms. Born and raised in Houston, Texas she was heavily influenced by her mother’s passion for the arts – as members of the Houston Fine Arts museum to season ticket holders for the theater, ballot and symphony. Melva has been collecting art for over twenty years.
When not immerse in art, she is founder and president of The Marian Dupree Group, a hybrid management consulting firm that provide strategic advice to their client to help grow their businesses. She advises senior management of start-ups and Fortune 500 companies.
Melva currently is Executive Professor, Digital, Media and Innovation at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management in Malibu, California.
Melva resides in the Los Angeles area with her husband, two daughters and a Dalmatian.
Darryl Wash – Partner, Finance Consultant, Special Events Curator
Darryl discovered a passion for art through early photography exploration. With several cameras and a home darkroom as his tools, Darryl developed a perspective for imagery and his own artistic sensibilities. At the same time Darryl developed an interest in photography, he began to explore the culinary arena. Today, Darryl is a collector of several forms of visual art and an accomplished chef whose passion for art in the culinary realm is insatiable.
When not behind the lens or in a gallery, Darryl is a ventrapreneur, a term he has coined to represent the intersection of entrepreneurship and venture investing. Darryl is an owner of Milk Bar Café (www. and Brunswick PPW ( both in Brooklyn, NY and a resident chef at BLVD Kitchen ( in Sherman Oaks in California
Darryl manages several investment vehicles including Ascend Ventures Management, LLC and Bennu Ventures Management, LLC. He also serves on several boards and is an advisor to a number of private companies.
Darryl resides in Los Angeles and New York with his wife, the accomplished author, Heidi Durrow.
Melvin A. Marshall – Art Historian, Curatorial Consultant, ArtCultureNow
Melvin Marshall is a PhD student in Art History & Curatorial Studies at The Open University, Milton Keynes, England. He is a Master’s-by-Research degree graduate from the Department of Visual Cultures, Goldsmiths College, University of London, where he studied under 2010 Turner Prize nominee Kodwo Eshun and Professor Irit Rogoff, receiving his second master’s degree. His Master’s thesis focused on the British contemporary artist Chris Ofili.
He completed his first MA degree with honors in contemporary art history at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London being supervised & tutored by Profs. Antony Downey, Kathy Battista, Marcus Verhagen and Gilda Williams. The subject of his honors MA thesis was the oeuvre of American contemporary artist Kerry James Marshall. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley where he majored in molecular and cell biology.
Melvin was the chief curator at the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporian Arts (MoCADA) in Brooklyn, NY where he co-curated the ground-breaking exhibition From Challenge to Triumph: African American Prints & Printmaking, 1867-2002. The museum catalog and exhibition received very positive critical reviews including being featured on the New York City CBS Evening News as a “must-see New York City exhibition” and art critic James Kalm of the Brooklyn Rail wrote that it is an exhibition that “delights the eye with its beauty, stimulates the mind with its historical perspective, and warms the heart by introducing many lesser-known artists to a wider audience” and he called it “a world class show.”

Bryan Nicholas – Brand Amplifier, Strategist & Designer
Since 2009, Bryan Nicholas has produced projects from conception to reality in a creative and evolutionary way. His process is called Brand Amplification, which is the process of connecting a brand’s true purpose with those who believe in what the brand is doing; bridging the gap between human behavior and technology to efficiently increase a brand’s revenue, market share, awareness and engagement.
When he’s not amplifying the world he is working on his other business ventures, a Luxury Men’s Bespoke Clothing Brand, Vanquish Bespoke ( and coming soon a Juiceology & Apothecary Juice Bar. He loves expressing himself in creative and energetic ways and helping as many people along the way.
Bryan resides in Upland with his wife and brilliant son Maison, with a little princess on the way.
